Over 100 Years of French Wine Tradition

In 1896 a company was established in Béziers, the heart of the Languedoc wine region, which would soon become one of the preferred partners of the French wine industry with the creation of its internationally sought-after special products: La Littorale. With high quality and sophisticated vinification products and an efficient, extensive dealer network, it has been impossible for generations to imagine French viticulture without the company and it is certainly no exaggeration to say that in its time, the company has contributed again and again to enable the success of big vintages from wine regions all over France with wine connoisseurs worldwide. In 1999 La Littorale took over the renowned Laboratoire Oenotechnique, the leading development and analytical partner of French wine farmers and La Littorale‘s longterm “extended workbench" during the development of new products and the implementation of new ideas. In 2003 both companies became part of the Erbslöh Group, a worldwide leader in the area of beverage technology. From its Geisenheim headquarters in the Rhine region, Erbslöh can reflect on a rich history of close connection to viticulture.
